About Humana People to People
The Federation Humana People to People is a network of 30 non-profit associations engaged in international solidarity, cooperation, and development. Humana People to People is committed to tackling some of the world’s major humanitarian, social and environmental challenges, supporting people to make changes, improve their lives and help solve the issues they are facing. The impact of each organization’s individual efforts is increased through strengthening co-operation among members.
Humana People to People works in 45 countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, North and South America. Member organizations in Europe and North America collect, sort and sell second-hand clothes and shoes for reuse, and use the surplus to support development projects. This work is critical in reducing waste; promoting reuse; providing affordable clothing to developing communities; and raising funds to support social development projects.
The activities of Humana People to People are aligned with the UN 2030 Agenda, and bring together partners, communities and individuals in the common aim of working towards meeting Sustainable Development Goals, creating lasting positive change in the process. In 2019, Humana People to People reached 12 million people in more than 1200 projects.
