There follows an “incubation” period, in which they receive individual support to start their own micro-businesses: Access to sewing machines, help opening a bank account, marketing assistance, or even just moral support.
The first project Women in Action started in Caxito in 2015, followed by Cazenga in 2016 and Cabinda in 2017. Since then, several projects have opened in Luanda (Zango II and Estalagem) and Benguela
both among the DRC refugee population as well as members of the local community in Lóvua, Lunda Norte.
ADPP works on livelihoods with 140 farmers in the settlement and 60 farmers in surounding communities. In addition, 168 families in the settlement and 151 in neighbouring villages are benefiting from the chicken breeding component.
The introduction of these activities sought to ensure food and nutrition security while entrepreneurship training is intended to help diversify sources of income.
